Meta advertising measurement
Gear for Daves uses the existing Meta Pixel (899555733124611) to measure storefront page visits (PageView), product views (ViewContent), and successful cart additions (AddToCart). Meta may use these signals for advertising measurement, attribution, and advertising optimization under its own policies.
When advertising is allowed, Meta Platforms receives page addresses and referrer information, product or variant IDs and names, prices, currency, quantities, event identifiers, advertising cookie/browser identifiers (such as _fbp and _fbc), IP address, and browser/device information. These identifiers can link activity to a browser or Meta account. We do not add customer matching, email addresses, user IDs, automatic form collection, quiz answers, certificate results as event parameters, or server-side reporting.
The Pixel can see the address of a page you visit, including a shared quiz result’s address. Quiz answers and certificate files are not uploaded to Meta. Sharing a result link remains your choice.
Your advertising choice
In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland, advertising stays off until you accept. If we cannot determine your region, we also ask before enabling advertising. Elsewhere advertising is enabled unless you reject or an applicable browser privacy opt-out is present. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track as advertising opt-outs. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not affect shopping.
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to reject or withdraw at any time. Opening settings does not change your choice. Withdrawal stops new advertising events on this storefront, including in other open tabs; it does not undo information previously received by Meta. We do not replay cart actions that occurred while advertising was off.
To remember and evidence your choice, this browser stores a random local visitor reference, the acceptance or rejection, time, region, and the version and full text of the notice presented. A later withdrawal retains the earlier acceptance record. These consent records are stored locally on your device, not in a Gear for Daves server database, and are not passed to Meta. Clearing browser storage removes this local record and can cause the choice to be requested again.
Shopping and Shopify-hosted checkout
Necessary browser storage remembers your Shopify cart and advertising preference. Shopify supplies live product data and manages checkout on its own hosted pages. This storefront does not report InitiateCheckout, Purchase, payment completion, or order fulfillment. Shopify handles checkout-side tracking separately through the store’s configured integrations, including InitiateCheckout; any checkout consent and Purchase reporting are managed there, not by this storefront installation.
Read Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta Business Tools Terms, and Shopify’s Privacy Policy for their processing and rights information.
